Aesthetic Pleasure is an independent fashion label founded in 2013 by Putri J. Ghariza. The brand made its debut collection show, Projekt : 00, at CFA during Jakarta Fashion Week 2013.
After completing her studies in graphic design, Putri J. Ghariza began releasing collections composed of seasonless pieces, brought together by strong influences from youth culture and the theories and techniques of graphic design. She is particularly interested in developing alternative ways of presenting products—approaches that allow her greater control over the creative process. Aesthetic Pleasure plays with the roles and perceptions of norms, distorting and twisting them for our pleasure.
In Aesthetic Pleasure’s design language, minimalism has always been synonymous with empowerment: “Strong. Powerful. Reduced.” The collection, consisting mostly of black, sharp, deconstructed tailoring—blazers, shirts, pants, and skirts—appears poetic through its raw-edge finishes. The garments are designed with a literal no-frills attitude. While romantic and delicate, they never compromise on practicality. The collection reveals a more emotional, feminine, and light expression of minimalism, carrying a poetic and deeply personal attitude—standing in strong contrast to its powerful tailoring.
The smart daytime ready-to-wear apparel and accessories, including leather bags and shoes, are designed to suit the contemporary woman: a professional, a city dweller, and a mother. Aesthetic Pleasure’s fresh, raw-cut tailoring and lightweight materials make the pieces ideal for effortless day-to-night wear.
